[Paper Tiger]

hey i really enjoyed this! i thought it was going to be the paper tiger song by beck, but spoon is a good choice too. nice to see not everyone is making stupid parodies or videos based on memes. i liked how much the visuals synced up with the music too

visually its pretty much perfect

first off, wow, those backgrounds were fucking beautiful, especially the christmas lights that came to life; it's not often you get flash animations that have so much detail put into the lighting aspect

i've got to nitpick a few things though. i don't think the flash should have turned out to be the kid's fantasy/dream. something that's annoyed me recently about a lot of cartoons is that the cartoonish and fantastic aspects of them turn out to be a hallucination, a dream, or a drug trip. it's not only an easy 'cop out' ending, but it sort of takes away from the fact that it's a cartoon in the first place. personally i think the story would have been stronger if you based it around the city with the boy encountering the neon lights, rather than taking it to the outer space setting. a few things seemed shoe-horned in as well, like the alien for example - i think he was just there so the cartoon could have a tangible antagonist.

aside from that, everything else was great (especially the shots/framing), the sequences fit well with the music etc etc etc, i just wish more of the cartoon was like the first minute or so instead of a space adventure

man. i think that rawest forest thing was the first thing i ever saw by you. this is a huge leap from that in terms of looks and i loved the sneaky references to practically everything in the game (glad you remembered johnny as well). i got into the whole smrpg thing pretty late cuz it never came out in the UK, but its still really badass

great animation, i think the remade song lacks the energy and speedy tempo of the original though (and even little things like the vocal harmonies on certain words)

i think instead of having a live action sky, you should have worked live action water into it. dunno for some reason i think it'd have made it funnier

yes

the hand motions and constant blinking reminded me of the shittier parts of family guy where they just stand and talk for 5 minutes, you really nailed how cheap animation is looking/getting these days

i always enjoy these

but i think the stronger episodes of most flash cartoons are the ones with more consistent plots.

whilst this one was WAY funnier than ep 3 (those faces got me), it kinda jumped about from one thing to another and didnt really have a main 'theme' to it, other than a videogame going under the couch and some other crazy shit happening. oh and satan throwing a fit as usual (this was probably his best mental breakdown so far though)

on a technical side: mmmmmm really nice!!!!!! the new intro looks bangin
