I remember this being on the front page for quite a while a couple years back, but never got round to watching it haha.

Going by the icon I thought this would go for some simplistic, trippy frame by frame, but whilst the ideas and colours were nice, most of the graphics were just traced over sprites of the actual yoshi's island game : / which is better than stealing them I guess, but still. kinda dissapointed haha.

Liked the song though : )

I liked it. Great direction and nice animation and colours. I loved how the music went with what's going on.

You do know there's an 'alphas' section on Newgrounds though right? Where you can submit WIPs and get critique? I think that'd be best suited for stuff like this.

I've always been kinda shaky when it comes to the Cap. I remember watching this ages ago and couldn't remember whether it was good or not lol.

Graphics were ace, but the script was kinda...bland?

Also for a superhero flash I think you should throw a lot more action in ;-)

Just watched both of these, and WOW. I'd say the animation quality on these easily rivalled that of Brackenwood.

Great animation, colours, detail, movement, soundtrack, idea....just so damn refreshing on so many levels. You could win awards with this stuff.

as soon as I saw the word 'dumb' in the portal connected to some sort of video game, i knew roger had returned.

after viewing this, i think you've finally found a properly good animation style for yourself. your old movies used to be these cute scribbly doodle things, but they were tweened across the screen most of the time and I think that put some people of a bit, regardless of the writing or whatever.

But the frame by frame in this has helped a LOAD with your general look, it suits the style of your toons greatly. its kinda like watching a bunch of doodles come to life, and i find that really appealing.

ah yeah, you talked about the quality on your recent subs not being 'good' enough but at least its better than another sprite movie.

also, lol'd at 'Generic Start Button'

Well, my main concern about Newgrounds is that I seem to hit the front page everytime.
I remember when I was a starting animator I was angry at other lame sprite artists who hit the frontpage, while I barely got attention (no suprise with how awfull my old work was, but yeah ^^;)
So with that on my mind, I feel uncomforteble seeing every of my "quickly made in a week" movies get in the hall of fame, so I stick more at Deviantart which seems more a social community rather then Newgrounds "battle for the best" attitude.

And I agree I should do more frame by frame, then I at least have an excuse for having roughly drawn characters. Still, most of the time I want to finish as many movies off as possible, being more of a storyteller then a animator, so I keep the FBF work as special desert movies.
All depends on priority I suppose.

pretty nice effort!

The Flash animation technique of splitting a body up into symbols for better motion worked well. Much better than that little games show you used to make a few years back. Could have done with a bit more visual flair, and the jokes weren't exactly 'zingers', but overall not bad at all!
