[A&K Battle Rocks]

uh oh!

a few people were saying that this was the movie that made your reputation (on NG at least) take a dive. I can see why.

Practically everything - character design, animation, backgrounds - looks very similar if not worse than your old stuff. Very basic stuff is great for frame by frame, yet tweens are still employed.

I guess the concept was nice, but all from the same angle? characters showing the exact same expression no matter what is happening? not good. you've got a massive fanbase, in fact I bet stuff like Return of Ganondorf still gets viewed over 1000 times a day. its just... i highly doubt stuff like this is what they want.

what else...ah, the music was pretty cool, I guess.

nice little idea, I loved the paper effect. one major problem is that i wouldnt associate over half of these series/shorts with NG 2007.

Every piece seen is something that came out in 2007. I took the time to go through tons of pages, checking dates, ruling out 2006 entries and making sure everything was from 2007. The music itself is an audio submission submitted in 2007. Should have spent a little more time animating rather than planning.

although not much happened, you've managed to set up this new story arc nicely. can't wait to see what comes next.

the sound is a little fuzzy, i think you need to compress your JPEGs more. you could easily cut your file size clean in half, allowin for better audio : )

Didn't know what to think really. i'm not really a fond of these multicoloured anime-furry character designs. seems more like some sort of in-joke for you and a friend than anything else.

Wasn't bad I guess!

First things first: Don't you think these sketch shows with sprites are getting a little old now? Yet for some reason they seem to be getting even more popular by the minute. Hmm.

Some sketches were alright, but the main thing that bugged me about this movie was that most of them were just 'lol character x is reciting a quote from movie z'. In other words, you're getting laughs for other peoples' jokes.

There was a lot of motion at least, and you went for some physical comedy instead of just making characters talk, so yeah that was cool. I think the length kinda hurt it though, and some sketches seemed sorta 'pointless', kinda like filler style stuff in order to buff the length up.

Not good, not amazing, but by no means terribly bad. I guess its 'watchable' for games fans lol

Mixed feelings haha

since this series has been floating around since forever i decided to check it out, and i just got sorta confused.

on one hand, you REALLY pulled off the cheesy 90's 'vidyo games are sooooo cool!' Captain N style thing very well. The concept then is pretty great but...nothing was that funny (except the guy who kept talking to the space where the camera should be). I think its 'cos I've seen the same sort of thing done before a few too many times.
