Erk.
I'm not gonna mark you down cos you used tweens (they can be really effective and helpful sometimes, check out the Xombie series or shorts like Larvae /Creep/David Firth stuff), but you had hardly any actual animation at all on a really, really simplistic character design.
I'm guessing the only reason a cartoon about some kid singing Spongebob Squarepants has a score over 3 is 'cos its about one of the biggest games in the universe.
You get a five for the ending >: ) that was awesome.
Could be a lot better, guys.
Unlike most flash artists over the age of 17 i don't really mind sprite movies that much, they're sorta like the junk food of flash animation in that you know they're bad but can't help but enjoy some of them. So don't think I'm ranking you guys down for using sprites : P
I've seen a few of the BK eps and thought they were decent, but this one was just dire. Seen most of the jokes thousands of times, and the voices/recording really needs improving. Could have done with subtitles I guess.
Alvin's little shindig felt a bit out of place, mainly cos it was all comedy and then this big action sequence ends it. And honestly, Sonic vs. Mario? Thats been done to death like a thousand times on this site before Brawl was even announced.
I did like some bits though, the villain conference was a nice idea and the Wiimote bit was pretty fucking hilarious.

Really decent stuff, you can tell a lot of time went into it, but the animation was a little weird here and there and I wasn't that keen on the drawings. still good job altogether!!

reminds me of this storyboard thing we did in class a while back where we sent a storyboard around the entire class and everyone filled in a panel. its interesting where everything went, i loved how seamless and improvised it was.

altogether there was what, 10 seconds of unique footage? for a three minute song? you just kept showing the same things over and over and over.
also, lip syncing never makes for a good music video. with all the possibilities of flash, i'm sick of seeing people make music videos about people singing : /

Dude, that was GREAT. I havent enjoyed a game parody as much as this in months. original approach, great direction, nice lo-fi music choice, and awesome graphics and animation. there's stuff like 'Smash Kingdom', using stolen art and old jokes that gets twice as many views as this, which isn't right damnit >: (

But seriously, sprite animations can be good in their own right but they shouldn't be viewed in the same way as traditional animation.
Reasons for this include the fact that sprite animators are not required to create any of their own artwork to use in the animation, and the time put in is considerably shorter.
It makes me *facepalm* when I see sprite movies on the front page, daily first, weekly fist, score reaching the mid 4 scale.
I urge everyone to animate using their own drawings, in the end it is much more rewarding and lets you express the ideas/story of your animation in an accurate way.
